“WFH Wormholes 2020” in Working Remotely, a83 Gallery

Work From Home Wormholes links space and time.

This plan oblique captures John Soane’s 1825 use of multiple, extraordinary perspective views to sample from different rooms within the interior of his home at 13 Lincoln’s Inn Fields, London.

This home was conceived from the outset to also be a working studio and a museum.  As a domestic interior that was designed through its visibility to a diverse visiting public, this image of the project draws parallels with the room-sampling and virtual visiting presented via Zoom and other ‘work from home’ formats of today.

a83 Gallery is co-founded by Owen Nichols, Clara Syme, and Phillip Denny; “Working Remotely” is the inaugural show for the team, with three lives: one physical at a83 gallery in New York, another available by lithograph print mailings, and a third online via @a83_insta.
